HIGHLIGHTS - February 2000 MONTHLY REPORT
1. CORC -- the CORC project continues. Chandra Prabha (research scientist at OCLC) joined us at Feb. meeting to gather information on how the collection managers decided what to add to the system. At this stage of the project, we are beginning to identify the issues which arise from our months of experimentation. The next CORC participants meeting will be held July 12 in conjunction with ALA Annual Conference.
2. We continue to have a number of vacancies throughout technical services which impact delivery of daily services and project work. The staff in technical services continue to do a fabulous job of meeting our first priority activities such as serials check-in, ordering, invoice/paymnet, cataloging, e-resources, etc. Progress is being made on a number of projects while others must wait for the filling of positions or the return of staff on leave.
