Highlights of May and June, 2001
The focus for much of TSAA during this period was preparation for the accounting fiscal year change June 12 and then preparations so the new year could begin June 13. Ellen spent a lot of time working out payment/credit glitches with vendors and OSU Accounts Payable. Kathie, Linda and Sanjay focused on paying as many invoices as possible. Jean batched great numbers of invoices, brought all our internal ledgers into balance with invoices paid and set up the ledgers for the new fiscal year. Special arrangement checks, invoices, wire transfers, prepayments and credits were handled. Deb helped with updating of order records to current field guidelines. As a result of all this effort, we finished the fiscal year with a greater percentage of both monograph and serial funds expended than the preceding 2 years of TSAA's existence. Additionally, the arrangement of the actual fiscal rollover was very efficient and minimized downtime for MOD and SER staff.
Lisa continued her responsibility as committee chair and booker for the "I am an electronic resource" tours and "I am a book" tours. She and Janie added numerous documents to TS web pages and assisted several dept heads with projects. Janie has now indexed 98% of the OSU-sites only pages accessed from the TS website. Lisa also prepared and gave training workshops to TS depts on the newest Catme and how it can help their work.
In addition to the usual immediate response pc problem work, Deb continued her close work with IT dept on improving the system response time to TS pcs. As tests were made, Deb provided all parties with information and feedback. Deb also worked to purge old order records from Felix and refer problems to MOD and SER.
