Highlights of February 2000
TSAA staff provided increased assistance to SER (Serials/Electronic Resources). During February Janie McIntyre checked in serials 54.5 hrs., Mary Stiffler checked in 37.5 hrs., Deb Cameron reviewed continuation purge files and began assisting with Lib Has statement updating, processing 132 statements.
Deb assisted MOD (Monographs Dept) with processing of Harrassowitz and Aux Amateurs approval pieces, bringing that flow up to date. She also worked with IT to make the OCLC Authorities Macro available to all 'full access' users.
TSAA worked with SER on planning to move serial accounting functions to TSAA with a 50% position. Details should be finalized by the end of March.
Lisa Iacobellis and Janie got new PCs as part of the NT test group. They continue to try various functions on the machines to help IT Dept identify any glitches that need fixed before installation throughout OSUL.
Lisa began working on the 'I am a book' tour working group.
Lisa also experimented with the new scanner acquired for Tech Services and housed in TSAA. It should help us add more documents to the TS web pages quicker.
