OSCAR Database Management
Document: Moving Serial Monies from Collection Managers’ Funds to Cover High Inflation (> 10%)

Once the decision is made by the collection manager on how the inflation monies should be handled (cancel title or use of --4 funds), the decision will be recorded on a spreadsheet (Inflation Project spreadsheet) maintained by SER and a note will be placed in the OSCAR order record. [internal note= Okay to move $121 from fin4 to cover FY05 inflation per SWyngaard email 8/12/04 tsc]
A second note will be added in OSCAR giving ASA instructions. [internal note= ASA: FY05 Inflation Project please move $90 from fin4 to fin3. 8/13/04 tsc]
Cancels will be processed by SER following the regular procedures for canceling (see procedure: “Fund Activity Reports”). 4FUND transfer titles will be given to ASA via the Inflation Project spreadsheet. (see below)
ASA will then move monies (amount in column C which is the same as the above note in OSCAR), add their note to OSCAR regarding move and update spreadsheet with date/initials. When finished the spreadsheet will be returned to the Head of Serials Acquisitions to update "Done" column with date/initials. This will mark the title as completed
