In December 2002, Tschera Connell was appointed Acting Head, Technical Services Accounting & Administration Dept. (TSAA) and she continued as Serials Coordinator in the Serials/ Electronic Resources Dept. (SER) in a reduced position. Tschera and Trisha Davis, head of SER, have proposed a permanent reorganization that will become effective July 1, 2003.

Tschera will become head of Access, Support and Accounting (ASA), a department that will include staff from the current TSAA sections and SER's Cataloging Section. There will be no changes to the current daily workflows managed by these units. ASA's responsibilities will include: acquisitions accounting, Technical Services administrative support, copy and original cataloging of serials and electronic resources, and bibliographic maintenance related to the acquisition of serials.
Tschera also will plan for the implementation of metadata services and provide support for metadata initiatives as needed for the development of the OSU Knowledge Bank. The reorganization will allow Trisha the opportunity to expand her role as a licensing and copyright expert for the Libraries and for the support of the Knowledge Bank project.
