Following the migration of the Libraries to the Enterprise LAN in June, 2009, all Libraries computers will have Office 2007 in place of Office 2003. In order to help you make a smooth transition to the different look and feel of the new version, TAC has compiled the following resources and training opportunities.
This full-day, instructor-led course reviews the new features in each of the main office programs. TAC will be sponsoring presentations of this training in SEL 390 during summer 2009. If you are interested in signing up for these workshops or would like to request additional training, please contact Marilyn Willhoff at willhoff.1@osu.edu or 292-4241.
In addition to the overview of all the Office 2007 programs described above, TCW offers in-depth introductions to new features in each one individually: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access. TAC does not have current plans to sponsor these trainings on-campus, pending demand, but they may be available for attendance at the TCW office in Dublin. For more information about these sessions, or to request that we offer one or more of them on-campus, please contact Marilyn Willhoff at willhoff.1@osu.edu or 292-4241.
This page provides a few animated tutorials designed to introduce the major new elements of Office 2007. Note that this page also includes links to free Short Courses that OIT offers on other topics.
This site provides an extensive set of resources, including video introductions, interactive tutorials, and more. This guide is specifically designed to spell out the changes between the old and new versions.
