Education, Recreation & Dance
Promotes healthy lifestyles through high quality programs in health, physical education, recreation, dance, and sport. Puiblishes the International Electronic Journal of Health Education (not yet available full text).
- American College of Sports Medicine
Promotes and integrates scientific research, education, and practical applications of sports medicine and exercise science to maintain and enhance physical performance, fitness, health, and quality of life. Links to information on becoming ASCM certified, associated journals, and continuing education.

of Exercise Physiologists
Provides forum for exercise physiologists to present research, exchange ideas and information in all areas of exercise physiology.
- Human Kinetics
This publisher's site includes an "Infokinetics" section with links to
jobs, journals, conferences, career information links and listservs (over 75
ranging from Akido to Yoga). An Education Program section provides links to
organizations such as American Sport Education and the American Master
Teacher Program.

Provides current information regarding developmentally-appropriate
physical education programs for youth, preschool through grade 12.
- Sports Media
An interactive site dedicated to providing lesson plans, tips, drills,

- Amateur Athletic Foundation of Los
Angeles
Endowed with surplus funds from the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, the
AAF supports a wide array of youth sports programming and operates the
largest sports research library in North America.
- Amateur Athletic Union (AAU)
The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is one of the largest, non-profit, volunteer, sports organizations in the United States. A multisport organization, the AAU is dedicated exclusively to the promotion and development of amateur sports and physical fitness programs. Fifty-seven distinct associations annually sanction more than 34 sports programs, 250 national championships, and over 10,000 local events.

Published by the Moray House School of Education at the University of Edinburgh, this site is also an initiative if the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports. Covers coaching in 16 different sports and features a "top 20" list of their most popular online articles based on the number of hits by site visitors.
- International Association for Sports Information (IASI)
A unique international associationwhose primary purpose is to stimulate and support activities in the field of international documentation, and promote the dissemination of information to physical educators, sport scientists, documentalists and sport researchers.
- National Collegiate Athletic Association
(NCAA)
Founded in 1906, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a voluntary association of about 1,200 colleges and universities, athletic conferences and sports organizations devoted to the sound administration of intercollegiate athletics. Through the NCAA, member schools and conferences consider any athletics problem that has become national in character. Volunteer representatives from these schools and conferences establish rules that govern the Association and programs designed to further its purposes and goals. This site includes sections on statistics, polls, and a Hall of Champions.

Founded in 1974 by Billie Jean King, the Women's Sports Foundation is a charitable, educational organization dedicated to ensuring equal access to participation and leadership opportunities for all girls and women in sports and fitness.

- International Olympic Committee
Organization that attempts to guarantee the promotion of the Olympic Movement and the smooth running of the Games in accordance with the Olympic Charter.

The USOC is recognized by the International Olympic Committee as the sole agency in the United States whose mission involves training, entering and underwriting the full expenses for the United States teams in the Olympic and Pan American Games.
