In addition to her duties in SCCAT, Sang Kyo began cataloging Korean books from the main library collection. These are being recorded under the statistics for the Cataloging Department.
Morag met with all the special collections curators and is assessing metadata needs. She is also working on metadata for the Enich slide collection (with Amy McCrory and Melanie Schlosser) and is mapping existing metadata from collections databases to Past Perfect in anticipation of a system migration.
Beth cataloged some OSU oral histories from the summer which had somehow evaded cataloging.
Cataloging of regular collections is caught up, and Mary worked on material from the San Francisco Academy of Comic Arts collection. Manga cataloging resumed after Mayumi’s absence.
Nataliya began working on Charvat project books again, and will be cataloging on a regular basis in addition to other workflows. She is now working on both DLC and non-DLC books.
Joan continues to work on project cataloging.
Mary worked intensively with Natalyia on training and review, as well as continued authority work for the collection.
Nataliya began cataloging the Pimen M. Sofronov Collection.
Pat cataloged items from the Avant Writing, Irish, William E. Jones UFO and Raymond Carver/Tess Gallagher collections, as well as some miscellaneous gifts.
Anca continues to catalog materials from the Jerry Tarver Elocution, Rhetoric, and Oratory collection.
Joan cataloged theses, and materials from the following collections: Hollis, Ray Bowen and Twyla Tharp. She also kept up with French and Dramatists materials and new purchases.
Anca worked on material accumulated while she cataloged the dance scores, including scripts, scrapbooks, playbills, etc. She is adding a new collection of French play scripts that is being added to the French Theatre Script Collection. Many of these are duplicates of titles already in bound volumes, but these are individually housed in folders and boxes, so a bit of system manipulation is required to make the records display correctly.
SCCAT personnel volunteered at social events including the holiday party. Morag attended Metadata Standards and Applications (an ALCTS/LC workshop) as well presenting workshops at OHIONET ("Technical Services Workflow Analysis" and "Advanced Local Holdings") and teaching the October session of the ALCTS web-based course "Fundamentals of Acquisitions" (which was original authored by Trisha Davis and Carol Pitts Diedrichs).
