[OSU
licensed material] [newspapers on the
web] [print indexes]
Newspapers come in a variety of formats, including paper, microfilm, online, and
cd-rom. Some
major online newspapers offer archives, but these are generally not free. As a result, online web
newspapers are best used for finding news of the current day only.
Generally, paper copies of newspapers are kept until microfilm copies arrive, which usually takes
between one and three months. Newspapers are located in the Microforms and Periodicals Department,
on the first floor in the Main Library.
OSU-licensed Materials
Only faculty, staff, and students of the Ohio State University may access these OSU-licensed
newspaper resources. Non-affiliated persons should check with local libraries for availability of
these resources.
