Current Population Reports P-43, P-44, P-45, P-46, P-47 Series
Reports providing information on the estimated population of the United States, states, and other geographic areas, such as regions, divisions, counties in specified metropolitan areas, and information on immigration and emigration. The series includes one report on the educational attainment of the male population, 25 to 64 years old without income in 1939.
Pages vary. Reports numbered P-43, 1-4, issued 1943; reports numbered P-44, 1-21, issued 1944; reports numbered P-45, 1-11, issued 1945, had series title "Population -- Special Reports". Reports numbered P-46, 1-9 issued 1946; reports numbered P-47, 1-5, issued 1947 (discontinued). This series was initiated in 1943 and discontinued in 1947. Prior to 1946 this series is identified by the letter "P" and the applicable year, i.e., P-43, P-44, etc. The release numbers within each series began with the number "1." The statistics in this series relating to general population characteristics are continued in Series P-20, Population Characteristics, and the statistics relating to estimated population are continued in Series P-25, Population Estimates and Projections.
