INTRODUCTION
This collection is a continuation of the materials found in
the Jim Leftwich Papers, 1975-1999 (SPEC.CMS.86 and its sections CMS.86.1,
CMS.86.2, CMS.86.3, CMS.86.4, CMS.86.5, and CMS.86.6), and the Jim Leftwich
Papers, 1993-2002 (SPEC.CMS.86.7).(Cf.
the introduction to CMS.86.1-6 for more information about the author and those
collections.)The present collection
includes manuscripts, original artwork, visual poetry, correspondence, mail
art, publications, and other material.The MSS, visual poetry, and artwork by Leftwich and many others, are
mainly from 2001-2003, with some earlier material.The correspondence deals with Xtant, Xtantbooks,
literary matters, writing, poetics, visual poetics, and many related matters,
and includes literary texts.
This collection was donated to the OSU Libraries by Jim
Leftwich in 2003.
