The Digital Imaging Division offers consultation to all departments of the University Libraries. We will answer questions related to digital projects and provide advice about:
Startup: planning your project and assessing needs
Specifications: resolution, color, file formats, etc.
Workflow: how best to organize the resources you have
Outsourcing: if you are having your scanning done by an outside company, we can advise you on how to get the best possible results
This consultation should occur early in the process. Key decisions made before the project is underway will significantly influence both the quality of the digital images and the efficient use of staff time.
