Project 3: Formal Proposal for Annotated Bibliography

(1) Write three or four paragraphs describing your proposed term project (Project 5). Note that this is a formal proposal, so please use a professional writing style. Include the following information:

  • Project title
  • Description of the topic
  • Scope of the project as you envision it now. (You'll revise and refine as you go.)
  • The meaning of this project to you. (Does it pertain to your area of performance or research? Could it help you do research for an assignment in another course?)
  • What you have done so far to explore this topic

(2) Write citations and annotations for at least four key sources you have discovered to date. At the end of your proposal, cite these sources in an annotated bibliography using the Chicago Manual of Style (15th ed.). Try to have at least one book and one periodical article among these four items to practice writing different kinds of citations.
