Plotting from Powerpoint

Caveats

  1. Sometimes Powerpoint slides can be problematic, especially when they have background images. It is recommended that you export your slides to an image format like JPEG/PNG or to a PDF file and then use one of the other programs for plotting.
  2. Page setup : Larger sizes are recommended so that the graphics don't degrade too much when plotted in actual size
  3. If a slide has many images, you should try creating it in a graphic design program such as Illustrator to maintain image/graphics quality
  4. If you plan to work on multiple platforms (Mac/Windows), then it is advisable to carry a copy of the slides as a PDF document. To do this, go to "Print" dialog and select option "Save as PDF". You can then plot from Adobe Acrobat Reader.
