We're in the process of upgrading and migrating the Library's website. We're also taking this opportunity to make additional changes to the library website that we think will enhance the level of service we offer.
Your site was recently moved, so you need to be aware of the kinds of changes being made. Please take note of the following.
New Library Website URL
During the 2002 Library website redesign, we had wanted to change the Library website URL, but we didn't have time to accomplish it then. Now is the perfect opportunity, though, since we are migrating the sites to a new machine. This allows us to make these changes more gradually, inconveniencing users such as you and others to a lesser extent.
Your site at http://www.lib.ohio-state.edu/youroldwebsite has been moved to http://library.osu.edu/yournewwebsite. We've maintained redirects so that users that continue to access the old site url will be forwarded to the new site url. These redirects will be maintained for an as of yet unspecified time no shorter than 6 months.
Upload Server
You will no longer connect to apollo (apollo.lib.ohio-state.edu, www.lib.ohio-state.edu) to upload your web files (html, htm, images etc.), instead you will connect to webadmin.service.ohio-state.edu using WS_FTP or another recommended FTP client.
In WS_FTP, enter webadmin.service.ohio-state.edu into the Hostname/Address box of the session properties window.

Username and Password
Your username is now name.N@library. And your password is what you use to check your OSU provided name.N@osu.edu e-mail.
(If you are currently using a Magnus username such as jsmith to check your OSU provided name.N@osu.edu e-mail, please contact the Library webmaster, letting them know that you are using a Magnus username and submit a username change request to OIT.)
In WS_FTP you will enter name.N@library into the User ID box and your password into the Password box of the session properties window.

(Note: you can choose any name you want the the session Profile Name in the session properties window.)

Changing From the Initial Directory
Upon login, you might not be placed directly into your website directory, if this is so you should change directories to the appropriate site.
In WS_FTP you can do this either by entering /yournewwebsite into the remote site window address bar or by double clicking on /yournewwebsite in the remote site directory listing.
