Photocopying Services:
Disabled users may request photocopies in any campus library. If materials are held in the library where the request is made, staff will try to provide these copies as quickly as possible. If the request entails a large volume of copying or there is contention for use of the photocopy machine, copying may have to be done at a later time, or in priority order.
Requests for photocopies of materials held in the Main Library should be submitted to the Interlibrary Loan Office, 103 Main Library and unfortunately cannot be made instantaneously because of the size of the collection. The Circulation Department in Main Library will accept requests when the Interlibrary Loan Office is not open, e.g., evenings and weekends.
If the request is for photocopies of materials held in another library, that request will be sent to the owning library, so there will be some delay in obtaining those photocopies.
Materials that can't be copied immediately can be sent through campus mail to anyone with a campus mail address. People without a campus address must come back later to pick up materials that are unable to be copied at the time the request is made.
Accessible Workstations and Other Equipment:
In addition to wheelchair accessible tables and computer workstations in the libraries, each campus library has a computer workstation with a large monitor and IBM Home Page reader (screen reader) software. Magnifer and Read & Write software are also available.
The Main Library also has a closed circuit TV (Optelec 20/20 Spectrum Color Video Magnification System) and an Arkenstone scanner and workstation with a Hewlett Packard ScanJet 4P printer to support voice output and downloading capability to a floppy disk.
