SilverPlatter Databases: Exporting and Importing Citations from SilverPlatter Databases into RefWorks

These instructions assume that you have searched a SilverPlatter database and have a list of results. 

Exporting Citations from a SilverPlatter Database  

On the Results list (below):

1. Mark the records you want to export. 

2. Click the disk icon. 

On the Save or Export Records screen (below):

1. Select Export to RefWorks.

2. Click the OK button.

 

 

 

Importing References from a SilverPlatter Database into RefWorks

The RefWorks User Login page appears (below):

1. Enter your login name.

2. Enter your password.

3. click Login.

 

The import confirmation page will open.

1. RefWorks will prompt with Import completed when it is finished.

2. Click View Last Imported Folder to view your reference.

 

On Last Imported Folder page (below):

1. Check boxes beside citations.

2. Open Put In Folder menu and select folder.

Click the Help link in the RefWorks toolbar for information about searching and sorting your citations or about creating and organizing your folders.
