OVID Databases: Exporting OVID Citations into RefWorks

 

These instructions assume that you searched OVID databases and have a list of results. 

 

Exporting Citations from an OVID Database  

On the Results list (below):

  1. Mark the records you want to export (#1 below).

Scroll to the bottom of the Results list (below).

  1. Click Direct Export in the Result Format column.

  2. Click Save in the Actions column.

On the OVID Export Results screen

  1. Click Export results to RefWorks.

  2. Click Continue.

Importing References from a SilverPlatter Database into RefWorks

The RefWorks User Login page appears (below):

  1. Enter your login name and password.

  2. click Login.

On next screen click View Last Imported Folder (#1 below).

On Last Imported Folder page (below):

  1. Check boxes beside citations.

  2. Open Put In Folder menu and select folder where you want to save these records.

Click the Help link in the RefWorks toolbar for information about searching and sorting your citations or about creating and organizing your folders.
