Enabling non-web catalog access in Internet Explorer 7
Internet Explorer 7 disables telnet access, which is required to use the non-web catalog. Follow these instructions to re-enable telnet access to the non-web catalog.
- Download the following file, which will modify your Windows settings to enable telnet access in Internet Explorer 7. Download this: ie7_telnet.reg
- When you click on the file in IE7, it will ask if you want to run it or save it. Click on Run.
- You will then be asked if you want to add the information to the registry. Click "Yes".
- You should see a pop-up box that says that the information from the file you clicked on in step #1 has been added to your registry. Click "OK" and restart IE. The link to the non-web catalog should now work.
