MISSION STATEMENT

The Human Ecology Collection's primary purpose is to support the College of Education and Human Ecology's classroom and research needs.

The Human Ecology Collection fully adheres to and practices the American Library Association's "Library Bill of Rights."

The Human Ecology Collection recognizes its role in collecting and disseminating materials and information to a diverse population. This collection further appreciates its responsibility in promoting cultural pluralism and accommodating a wide variety of opinions and cultures. The collection encourages the Ohio State University and University Libraries faculty, staff, and students to respect each patron's right to information without regard to age, ancestry, color, creed, economic status, gender, national origin, physiological condition, political beleifs, race, religion, and sexual orientation. The Human Ecology Collection openly invites suggestions to improve its collection, facilities, and service.
