By Robert Balay.  American Library Association, 1996.  (Z1035.1G89 1996 in SUL).   An excellent sources for important reference sources in all fields of study.  An entire section covers the social sciences and a chapter covers political science.  Check this book for indexes, biographical sources, encyclopedias, dictionaries, statistical sources, and other reference materials.

Indexes periodicals, books, and some government publications on federal, state, and international politics and public policy issues.  Includes journals in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, and German.

Social Science Citation Index.  1956-  [1980- online]    (Paper copy in SUL)
Useful for keyword-in-title and abstract searches (abstracts included in online source) and for finding articles that cite a known publication no matter when it was published [Use Full Search mode].  In the paper copy use the Citation Index for finding related articles.  Use the Source Index to find articles by author name.  Also in the paper copy use the Permuterm Subject Index is the keyword-in-title index that refers you to the Source (author)  Index. OSU no longer subscribes to the paper edition.

Lexis/Nexis offers a wide-ranging information service that provides the full text of many congressional documents, background information on members of congress and the senate, including detailed information on campaign financing.  Other sources of information include the full text of bills, acts, hearings, reports, voting information, the Congressional Record, and legislative history.
