Donating your books to Friends

What are you going to do with all those books piling up in your home or office? Donate them to Friends of The Ohio State University Libraries!

The Friends accepts donations of gently used books. (Please note that we do not accept journals, magazines, or Reader's Digest.) The collected books are reviewed by the University Libraries' collection managers. Hundreds of books are added to the Libraries' collections, enriching the resources available to students, faculty and the community. The remaining books are sold by the Friends through several online sites in cooperation with Better World Books. Proceeds from the sale of these items support various Friends' projects.

To make your donation, you may either drop off your books at Room 619 of the Ackerman Library; or if you live within greater Columbus, call the Friends Office at (614) 292-3387 to schedule a book pick up. A tax receipt for your donation is available upon request. You may also fax a Book Donation Pickup Form to our office at 292-7859.

Thank you.

Friends of the OSU Libraries is a program of Library Communications.
