The library holds over 80,000 books and journal volumes, most of which are located in the FAES stacks. The items with call numbers from A through HD799 and from J through S399 are upstairs. Items with call numbers from S400 through Z9999 are downstairs. Items with call numbers HD800 through HV9999 are on the main level.

The library uses the Library of Congress call numbers to shelve books and journals.
