Art Abstracts.  "Movie review" is an article-type designator; "book reviews" is a subject heading.  Or, search "review$" as a keyword in combination with other terms.

Arts and Humanities Citation Index.  Choose "Full Search Mode."  Choose database(s) and year(s).  Choose "General Search" option.  Type in your search terms.  Click on "Set limits and sort option," where you can choose from numerous kinds of reviews.

Landers Film and Video Reviews.  (EHS Reference PN 1995 A1 L33)  This is a review journal for educational films and videos, with title and subject indexes.  EHS's set runs from 1974 to 1992.

Media Review Digest.  (EHS Index table)  This is an annual index to reviews of audio-visual media.
 
 

Child Development Abstracts and Bibliography.  (EHS Index table)  See the Book Notices section in the back of each individual issue.

Children's Book Review Index.  (EHS Index table)  Arranged by book author, with title and illustrator indexes.

Children's Literature Review.  (EHS Index table)  This set provides excerpts from reviews.  See the last volume for cumulative indexes.

Horn Book Magazine.  (EHS Journals Z 1037 A1 A15)  Roughly half of each issue offers reviews of children's books, with an index at the end.  An annual index appears at the end of each bound volume.
 
 

Internet and Personal Computing Abstracts.  (EHS Index table)  This index includes summaries of reviews of hardware, software, and books.
 
 

Education Abstracts.  Movie review, product review, and video review appear as article-type limiters.  For book reviews, run a keyword search on "book review" in combination with other terms.

Educational Studies.  (EHS Journals LZ 11 E2503)  This journal includes a large number of book reviews.

ERIC.  This is a large database of education references.  "Information analyses--book/product reviews" is a publication-type option that appears when you click on "limit search results."

School Library Journal.  (EHS Journals Z 671 J8)  Book and multimedia reviews appear in each issue.  An annual index appears at the end of each bound volume.

Ethnic NewsWatch.  This is a full-text resource.  Among its article types are book review, movie review, music review, record review, television review, and theater review.

Women's Resources International.  The advanced search mode provides a "book reviewed" search box.
 
 

Academic Search Premier.  This large, general index covers numerous book reviews. In the advanced mode, put "reviews" to search in the default fields and put other terms in the other search windows.

Amazon.  This bookstore on the Web includes reviews of selected titles.

Barnes and Noble.  This is another Web bookstore that reviews selected items.

Book Review Digest.  This resource provides summaries of book reviews in all subject areas.

Book Review Index.  (EHS Index table)  Arranged by book author, with title index.  This source covers all topics and is more inclusive than Book Review Digest.

Choice.  (EHS Journals Z 1035 C5)  This is a review journal for books and other media, including Web sites, in all subject areas.

Consumer Guide.  (Various locations)  The Consumer Guide series offers many volumes on product ratings.  On OSCAR, search "consumer guide" as a title.

Consumer Reports.  (EHS Journals HD 6957 U5 C75, but current issues are in EHS Reserves, room 110)  See also the annual Consumer Reports Buying Guide (EHS Journals TX 335 A1 C7, but latest edition is in EHS Reference TX 335 A1 C7).

Current Book Review Citations.  (EHS Reference Z 1035 A1 C86)  EHS's set runs from 1976 to 1982 and covers reviews across all topics.

LexisNexis Academic.  This is a full-text news database.  Combine "review!" with other search terms.

Library Journal.  (EHS Journals Z 671 L7)  Each issue includes reviews of books, magazines, computer media, and audio-visual materials, covering all subject areas.

National Library Service Cumulative Book Review Index, 1905-1974.  (EHS Reference Z 1035 A1 N35)  This six-volume set indexes reviews across all topics.  It also serves as a cumulative index to Book Review Digest from 1905 to 1974.

New York Times Index.  (EHS Index table)  For references to reviews in the weekly New York Times Book Review, look under the heading "books and literature."  Following the references to NYT articles are citations to NYTBR reviews, arranged by book title.

Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature.  (EHS Index table)  A book review section appears in the back of each volume.  Other kinds of reviews also appear throughout each volume under headings such as "motion picture reviews," "television program reviews," "theater reviews," etc.  Also look for the subhead "rating," as in "automobiles--rating" or "computer programs--rating."

Yahoo!  A typed-in search on "reviews" will generate links to many types of reviews.
