Database Performance Problem Work-Arounds
If you experience performance problems with ERIC or PsycINFO, wait a few minutes, then try to reconnect to the database. If you're still having trouble, here are a few suggestions for finding the information you need until the database is working consistently again:- ERIC
- Try the public access ERIC at http://eric.ed.gov.
- For journal articles, remember to try Education Abstracts and the Professional Development Collection.
- Try PubMed, the public version of MEDLINE, at http://www.pubmed.gov/. (Often OhioLINK's MEDLINE and PsycINFO suffer problems at the same time.)
- PubMed citations give you abbreviated journal titles, but you can find complete titles by using the "Journal Browser" on the PubMed home page.
- Try also the Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection.
PsycINFO
