Online Guide to
Resources in Education:
Finding Electronic Journals
An increasing number of professional and scholarly journal articles are available online via the World Wide Web. Some are freely available to the public; others are only available to OhioLINK-affiliated users, or just OSU-affiliated users. If the article you need is not available online, and is not available in the OSU Libraries for photocopying, OSU-affiliated users may request a copy through Interlibrary Loan.
Specific articles from most of these journals can be identified by searching ERIC, Education Abstracts or the Professional Development Collection. (Use the "Browse" or "Publications" feature to see if the journal is indexed by the database.) Some journals also can be searched using the search engine available at their Web sites.
Be sure to ask a librarian if you need help.

-
- OSCAR
- Search
OSCAR by journal title (not article title) to determine if the
journal you are seeking is available online. Depending on the
source of the full text, only certain volumes may be available
online. Be sure to check the complete OSCAR record--or ask a
librarian--if you have any questions.
Note: Many journals articles listed in Education Abstracts and certain other databases will be available online but will not be listed as such in either the EJC or OSCAR. Be sure to click the "Find a Copy" links on your search results screen to see if an online copy is available.
