Memorandum of Understanding for the Window to China
book donation program is signed. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007 On October 25, 2007, Dr. Chen Li, Deputy Director of National Library of China and Dr. James Bracken, Assistant Director of The Ohio State University Libraries signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the Window to China book donation program. According to the MOU, from 2006 to 2010, National Library of China (NLC) will donate publications of up to $1,000 in value (RMB 6,000 Yuan) to The Ohio State University Libraries every year. In addition, NLC shall donate publications of up to $15,000 in value (RMB 90,000 Yuan) to OSUL for the special collections in 2007. NLC shall provide the USMARC records of the donated publications according to OSUL’s requirement. NLC will bind any publication according to OSUL’s requirements.
After the Book Donation Ceremony, the NLC delegation toured OSU campus and attended the dinner hosted by OSUL Director Joseph Branin.
