The Cataloging Department (CAT) provides and maintains access to the collections of The Ohio State University Libraries and its regional campuses. In addition to its routine cataloging duties, the department provides support in the areas of catalog maintenance as well as authority control. Items found in the Ohio State University Catalog for Automated Retrieval OSCAR (login OSCAR) with CAT location codes are reference materials, manuals, classification tools, and other cataloging materials used by personnel in their cataloging procedures. Items found may be used by the general public with prior permission from the Cataloging Department.
