This is a program to recognize faculty promotion and/or tenure by placing a commemorative book plate in an OSU Library book of your choice. To have a book plated in your honor, please fill out the following form. Requests entered before October 20th have a greater chance of being processed in time for display at the reception. However, we will continue to accept requests after the deadline. We look forward to your participation in the sixth annual Faculty Recognition Program.

Guidelines for books to be plated

Books already in an OSU Library may be plated, providing they are not already plated
Book plate is placed in the first volume of multi-volume works
Books to be purchased should cost less than $200
You will be contacted for an alternate request if the book you selected cannot be purchased
Electronic books and journals cannot be book plated
You may select a book with personal significance, your own publication, a book that inspired you, a work in your field, or other publication of note
Personal statements are published in a booklet and also will be searchable by any web browser through the Knowledge Bank

6th Annual Reception

The annual Faculty Recognition Program Reception will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 3:30 - 5:00 pm in the Faculty Club Grand Lounge. Welcoming comments will begin at 4:00 pm. Plated books will be on display and commemorative booklets will be available. Family, friends, and colleagues of honorees are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served. RSVP is not necessary.
