Through this Alumni Portal you can obtain reference assistance from librarians, use the Libraries' catalog to search the nearly 6 million volumes in the collections at OSU, as well as the more than 38 million owned by OhioLINK libraries (members can apply for a Courtesy Card in order to borrow materials), and also have direct access to a variety of databases on a broad spectrum of subjects. Two of these databases (Academic Search Alumni Editionand Business Source Alumni Edition) were purchased specifically for the use of Alumni Association and Friends of the Libraries members by University Libraries and the Alumni Association; others are freely available on the Web, but they have been selected by librarians as being particularly useful. Many electronic journals are available in Academic Search Alumni Edition and Business Source Alumni Edition for Alumni and Friends. Other electronic journals are not available off-campus to Alumni and Friends due to licensing restrictions.
