Library 2.0 is a seminar for Ohio academic, public, and school librarians focusing on the new concept of Library 2.0, a suite of technologies that emphasize interactive user participation in the creation and ongoing use of library services, among other things. A stellar lineup of speakers will discuss topics such as Web 2.0, wikis, social computing, mashups and web services, the future of the library catalog, RSS, and social tagging and folksonomies.
The seminar will be held on June 13 and 14, 2007 at the Longaberger Alumni House on the Ohio State University campus. Registration is free; however accommodations and meals are not included.
This program is sponsored by the Ohio State University Libraries and funded in part through an Institute of Museum and Library Services LSTA grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio.
