The Washington Date Files consist of eight and one-half cubic feet of records dating from January 1988 through December 1998.  The files contain documents on the events and meetings Senator Glenn attended within the greater Washington, D.C. area during this time period.   The files supplement and expand the records located within the Daily Schedules and Calendars Sub-series listed above and, in essence, are the accepted invitations files for events held in and around the capital area during congressional sessions.  Materials pertaining to a particular event may include printed invitations, in-coming and out-going correspondence, staff notes and memoranda, and background information about the event.  Interfiled with the accepted invitations are correspondence and memoranda concerning the scheduled meetings Glenn held in his Senate office with a wide variety of individuals, constituent groups, and representatives from both Ohio and national organizations.  Also interfiled are official notices from the U.S. Senate for committee hearings and meetings, other types of Senate business, and meetings of the Senate's Democratic Party members.  Records within the sub-series are arranged chronologically by month.
