The Press Subject Files Sub-series consists of ten cubic feet of materials dating from 1975 to 1998. The sub-series contains three sets of alphabetically arranged subject files, dating from 1975 to 1983, from 1983 to 1989, and from 1989-1998. Compiled by members of Senator Glenn's press office, the files in many respects serve as a subject index to Senator Glenn's press releases and statements. Many files, however, do not contain press releases or statements, but may consist of newspaper clippings, memoranda, correspondence, and related materials used for general reference purposes by the press office staff. The file headings cover a broad range of general policy topics, specific legislative measures, current events, foreign countries, Ohio locales and industries, defense weapons systems, and individuals. The individuals include state, national, and world political figures, high-ranking federal and state officials, Glenn supporters, and newspaper columnists.
