The Textile Museum, located in Washington, DC, is an international research center for the study of textiles. The Museum houses over 18,000 textiles dating back to 3,000 B.C.E. Featured collections include oriental carpets; early Islamic textiles; Indian, Southeast Asian, Central Asian, Persian, Turkish and Greek textiles; and pre-Columbian Peruvian textiles. The Museum’s exhibits reflect the artistic, technical, and cultural significance of its collections.
