Accessing eReserves Resources in Carmen
CARMEN ACCESS DIRECTIONS
To check for browser compatability with CARMEN first, please consult this table of Supported Browsers and Systems
Students using Carmen to access eReserves should log in to Carmen at http://carmen.osu.edu.
They should enter their university user name and password. Students can then select their course by clicking on the plus signs (+) which will display drop down menus with their course listings in Carmen. Once in the course, students can click on the Contents tab to view eReserves Content for the course.
CARMEN PROBLEMS?
STUDENTS: please visit the Carmen Supported Browsers and Systems page to check for browser compatability and proper browser settings.
- Students should visit the Carmen information site for Students.
- Instructors should visit the Carmen information site for Instructors
- For problems with individual files (PDFs etc.) and weblinks in the eReserves CONTENT section in Carmen - please contact our office (contact info at top of page).
- MAC computer users - check Carmen for a compatible browser and download a compatible version of Adobe Acrobat Reader for your Mac at the download site for Adobe Acrobat Reader
OTHER PROBLEMS
ADOBE ACROBAT PDFs:
- Do you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat READER (6.0 or above) downloaded & installed on your computer? If not, download it from the download site for Adobe Acrobat Reader.
READING UNTAGGED Adobe Acrobat PDFs:
Acrobat Reader 7.0 has a new feature and can now "read out loud" TEXT based PDF files. Most of our PDF files are IMAGE based. When you receive the READING UNTAGGED DOCUMENT BOX - simply hit CANCEL and you can then view the PDF.
