Open access publishing is a movement that encourages making scholarly resources more freely available over the internet. The goal is to maximize the impact of research, particularly research that has been funded with public money. Here are some links to more information about Open Access publishing:

- Public Library of Science (PLoS) Scientists and physicians working to make information freely available.
- SHERPA/ROMEO Find information about publishers' copyright pollitices and authors' self-archiving rights.
- OSU Libraries Copyright Help Center Assistance with and information about copyright restrictions, including publisher copyright policies and authors' rights.
- Health Sciences Copyright Management Office Copyright information for the OSU Health Sciences community.
