Hours:
The reference room is open: Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. The Archives is closed during University holidays. Hours are subject to change. Please call to confirm that the reference room will be open.

Appointments:
Visitors are encouraged to call in advance (614-688-8173). This enables the BPRCAP staff to assemble the materials before you arrive and render your visit more efficient.

Parking and Directions:
The Byrd Polar Research Center Archival Program is located in the University Archives/Book Depository Building at 2700 Kenny Road, Columbus, Ohio.  See bottom of page for directions from various locations.  The University Archives has metered parking spaces available (25 cents for 15 minutes) for patrons without a University parking pass.  A $5 all-day parking pass can also be purchased for those who plan to spend more time doing research.

Photocopying Policy:
All photocopying is done by the BPRCAP staff due to the uniqueness and condition of the material. The staff member will provide instructions for tagging pages to be photocopied. Researchers assume responsibility for compliance with U.S. copyright laws.  Photocopies are .25 cents per page.

Photographic Reprints:
Photographic reprints can be obtained.  Payment is required in advance.   Please contact us for further information regarding cost. If you wish to order photographic reprints, please complete The Ohio State University Archives Photographic Use Application.

Payment:
Credit cards, personal checks, money orders, or University 100-W in the exact amount  payable to "O.S.U. Libraries" are preferred.Click here to make credit card payment...

Directions:

 From Campus: From The OSU Main Campus, take Lane Avenue west to Kenny Road.  Turn right on Kenny Road, heading north. Turn right on to The Ohio State University Service Drive, and then make an immediate left. The Archives is the last building on the north end of this service road.  
 Bus Service: The Library/Buckeye Village route provides bus service from central campus (RPAC) to the University Archives/Book Depository building.  Please see the CABS Map and Bus Schedules web page for more information on this bus route.

 From 315: Exit at Ackerman Road heading west. Turn left on Kenny Road, then left on to The Ohio State University Service Drive, and then make an immediate left. The Archives is the last building on the north end of this service road.

 From I-70: Take 670 west to 315 north. Exit at Lane Avenue and turn left (west). Turn right on Kenny Road, heading north. Turn right on to The Ohio State University Service Drive, and then make an immediate left. The Archives is the last building on the north end of this service road.

 From I-71: Take the Hudson Street Exit and head west. Turn right on Neil Avenue and then left on to Ackerman/Dodridge Rd. Turn left on Kenny Road, then left on to The Ohio State University Service Drive, and then make an immediate left. The Archives is the last building on the north end of this service road.
