Environmental Sciences Research Cluster Competition

From Executive Director Richard Moore:

Dear Environmental Sciences Colleagues,

I am happy to announce a Seed Grant competition to promote the formation of research clusters–large collaborative groups of researchers organized around a pressing environmental problem.

The goal of these seed grants is to invest in the exciting initial stages of research into big problems–getting groups of curious people together and shaping big ideas. By fueling collaboration, we know that our more modest funds will lead to successful large-grant applications, and from there to real results.

Listed below are  a) Interdisciplinary Research Cluster Competition Request for Proposals and b) a fact sheet about the Environmental Sciences Network. Please forward these documents to any colleagues you know who might be interested.

Environmental challenges are interdisciplinary–and so are their solutions. The Environmental Sciences Network connects faculty and graduate student researchers across Ohio State and gives them the support they need to collaborate effectively.
