Wha’cha gonna do? June 6-8

Nobody helped me with my tissue paper flowers last week and I didn’t have time to blog as a result. All that’s behind me now and I can once again concentrate on my good times.
It’s too darn hot to go outside, so take Clint’s suggestion to stay in tomorrow and watch the Belmont Stakes Saturday at 5pm on ABC. Big Brown (above) is favored to win the Triple Crown. I like the horse Macho Again, ’cause it’s a cool name.
“Heeeee..always runs, while other waaaalk…DOO-DOOT-DOO-DOO!” Oh yeah! Thunderball will kick off the CAPA Summer Movie Series with the best theme of all the James Bond movies. Thank you, Tom Jones! Friday and Sunday. Don’t forget, Fridays are usually Family Fun Nights with prizes and stuff. I won a $50 Visa gift card once! Awesome!
The Columbus Arts Festival is this weekend and instead of having it on the river, it will be moved to the Discovery District - that’s the CCAD/Columbus Museum of Art area to you. In other words, look for the giant ‘ART’ sign’sculpture and you’ll be there. It runs from the sign to butt up against the Columbus State parking garage several blocks away - convienient! Former student Krista Reeder is one of the Spring Quarter graduates exhibiting at OSU’s Design 2008 Spring Exhibition. The opening was Wednesday, but the exhibit continues at the Urban Arts Space through June 13th. 50 W. Town St. Tuesday-Saturday 11am-6pm, Thursdays until 8pm.
Have a favorite Batman movie? Saturday Mike Reinhart, author of The Batman Filmography will be giving a lecture called Batman at the Movies at the Upper Arlington Public Library. 12:30pm, free. I’m a Superman-girl myself, but I’m still interested in attending.
