LIBRARY FINES & LOST BOOK CHARGES

In July 2002, the University Libraries increased the lost book charges and fines inoder to better serve library users. These charges are assessed to encourage the return of library materials so they will be available for other library users.

| Recalled for another library user | $10 per day to a maximum of $100 |
| 2 Hour Reserves | $2 first hour; $5 per hour thereafter to a maximum of $102 |
| 1 Week Reserves | $5 first day; $10 per day thereafter to a maximum of $105 |
| Lost book charges: | |
| Lost books | $140 ($90 replacement, $40 processing charge, $10 non-refundable billing fee) |
| Lost journal volumes | $170 ($120 replacement, $40 processing charge, $10 non-refundable billing fee) |
