About the Rudolphs: Ann and Emanuel Rudolph were avid book collectors. During their lifetimes, they collected more than 53,000 volumes which they cataloged and preserved in their two adjacent homes. They also enjoyed sharing their collection with countless Ohio State students and book lovers. Dr. Emanuel Rudolph was a professor of plant biology at Ohio State for many years, and Ann was a librarian with Battelle Memorial Institute.
The Rudolphs' generosity established an endowment to provide a scholarship encouraging young people to develop an interest in books and to pursue collections of their own.
