Membership
The Friends of The Ohio State University Libraries provides members access to OSU outstanding collections and resources, along with special benefits designed to enhance the value of your gift. Being a Friends' member entitles you to a number of benefits, including:
- A Friends' membership/library card
- Borrowing privileges at the OSU Libraries
- Access to a selection of online databases
- The Friends of the Libraries newsletter
- Invitations to programs and special events
In addition, your membership dollars support endowments and bequests that improve the quality of the Libraries' collections, promote public awareness of the services and resources of the OSU Libraries, and share your interest in libraries, books, collecting and the advancement of learning. The Friends provide critical support for:
- Expanding acquisition, preservation and conservation activities of library holdings
- Building endowments, bequests, and gifts of money and materials
- Developing and implementing innovative library programs and exhibits
- Providing student book awards and scholarships
- Raising public awareness of OSU Libraries' services and resources
Membership levels begin with individual memberships for $50 a year. Corporate memberships are also available. Print and complete this membership application. You can complete your application by stopping by the Friends Office in the Thompson Library, 1858 Neil Ave., Room 305, Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or by mailing or faxing the application with your payment to:
