Catering Information

UNIVERSITY CATERING is the preferred caterer of University Libraries and the operator of the Thompson Library’s Berry Café and the Science and Engineering Library’s Terabyte Café.   For catered events, a 15% site fee, paid directly back to University Libraries, will be charged and added to all food and beverage orders.

OTHER APPROVED CATERERS:

If a request is made for use of another caterer, the request and approval must be in writing.  An 18% site fee, paid directly back to University Libraries, will be charged and added to all food and beverage orders.  Caterer will be required to sign the University Libraries Catering Agreement.   

PLEASE NOTE:  The university has an exclusive beverage contract with the Coca-Cola Company that must be complied with in any facility at The Ohio State University.

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at University Libraries locations.  Requests for exceptions to this policy can be made at the following link:  http://legal.osu.edu/legaltopics.php.  In order to obtain approval, the requesting department must submit an Authorization to Serve Alcohol Request Form to the Office of Business and Finance, along with an approval from the Vice President, Dean, or equivalent administrator.
