Position: Graphic Designer

 Location: Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum

 Work Schedule: Varies, Monday – Friday during business hours

 Hours per Week: 15-20

 Hourly wage: $8.75-$9.00

 Responsibilities:

• Works 15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday (no evenings or weekends), between 9am and 5pm
• Maintains the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum website using OSUL CMS: updates web pages, adds exhibits and events, assuring ADA (Section 508) compliance
• Designs layout and constructs web pages for digital albums and online exhibits using art from the collections
• Designs exhibit posters, flyers, newsletters, and graphic materials as needed
• Works under the supervision of the Curatorial Assistant and in conjunction with the Curator

 Qualifications:

• Considerable experience in webpage and print design
• Highly creative with working knowledge of functional design principles
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite products and CSS style sheets
• Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Ability to resolve web site related issues
• Collaborates on ideas with supervisor and curator
• Ability to work independently to meet project deadlines
